Welcome Everybody!

Post:Matthew Roye-

Zdra-stvu-eetee everyone!

Our graduating year is nearly over, and the trials we faced as a collective are nearly prepared to stand aside as we enter a series of separate journeys that'll ebb and flow into the fucked up new paths that lie in front of each of us. the positive? no more Meredith homework massacres, no more GNED's , no more tears over a bank account which should be sporting stretchmarks. at least for a little while.

the negative, were splitting apart.

Now i wouldn't dare speak for the rest of you, and to go into a long winded retelling of what makes me ME would demean the relationships ive made with you all over this odd and painfully beautiful experience. So i'll keep this short. I have no family, not in any sense of the word, and for all my clear clown make-up and inappropriate free-styling, i hold a very special place in my definition of community, friendship, and family for each and every one of you. To be separated is normal, but to forget any of you would be my own personal blasphemy, i love you all too much for that.

but that's just me, lets get to you.

As a man-child who prides himself in his mastery of observation, i truly believe that we, the Humber Artists of the 2010 Graduating class, can all agree to one thing.
We work well together, we really do. whether it's Aaron's talented eye, Laurens capable brain, Laylas ever expanding heart, Stephanies perfect choice of words , Sam's incredibly exciting and unique perspective or robs necessity to make us all smile, take your pick, we make each other better, we show off to one another and its made us grow more than any mark related motivation has...

"GET TO THE POINT!"
yes, it's about that time. This place is only an idea for now, but that idea is this: We need to help each other beyond the boundaries of school, we need to be able to realize that when the real worlds eyes don't focus on us, we have a family of artists who will. we motivate each other, and it would be healthiest to keep that alive! Though i am throwing the first stone forward this environment does not belong to me, you will each receive the password and information needed for you to contribute to this place, we will moderate on our terms, we will create with our rules, and we will build a home for our respective passions here.

Enough poeticisim. this blog is my intention to create a hub for news regarding each of us. submit links to your respective online spaces, post your latest art, invite us to your events, share your thoughts, tell us all whats going on with your world. the limit of this place will be broken by us, and, if we allow it, may expand beyond this blog.

The plan is to get us on tumblr, flickr, facebook, twitter, deviantart, and anything else we desire, with updates all being posted here within the hour if you so choose. if you post a link, it will have loyal eyes and word of mouth which will accumulate in our own personal form of news. Post art, ask for a commission, suggest competitions we can enter. if you name it, i want you to feel free to post it.

We have created, as if through a miracle, a community for what we do and who we are. it keeps us creative, excited, and in some way, i think it makes us happy. you don't get this often in life, theirs no shame in fighting for it.

To conclude and contribute, these are the links for my own personal artistic spaces, i hope each of you will follow in my massive, grotesque footsteps:
