Hojo here and ready to share!

Howdy y'all, Hojo here to share something that is pretty big in her life at the now. But first some background:
During the summer, my brother, Stephen, and I started these random jokes about a walrus that gets lost and there's a mountain lion that is very mean to him. Next thing I know, my brother had written a story about a Walrus named Walter and how he gets lost and needs to find his way home. It was decided that we would combine our powers (his writing and my illustrations) to create a gift for my cousin's baby, Eva.
Not gonna lie, I totes procrastinated guys. I had since August but only really started working on it til...Mid October? But come on, we all do it. Don't judge me. ANYHOO, after dedicating at least, two-three weeks of my life to Walter the Walrus I was finally able to complete drawings and within a couple of days, the book was ready...to be ordered. Can you see where this is going?
My mom found this site online that allows you to make hard-cover, photo album type things that are super classy and text on them and whatnot. Fancy. So using this program, we ordered it online and then the waiting. JEEEEZE I hated the waiting, felt like forever!
But yes, about 45 minutes ago, I answered the door and a dude that reaked of smoke (THAT'S RIGHT I SMELT IT, YOU DEALT IT), but with him came a wonderful package (that's what she said). That's right, totes got the book! FINALLY!!

TADA!!

We even kept the Mountain Lion.
After looking through it, I am so very happy with the result and it really is my biggest accomplishment since graduating. I know no one really reads this, but if you do I want you all to realize that this couldn't have been accomplished without everything I learned with the lot of you at Humber. Working on it makes me miss you all so very much, but also I am super thankful for our time.
So to sum this whole text thing up, Hojo made a book with her Broho, she misses Humber and friendos. Yup, 'nuff said. Thanks for reading!

Aaron writting...

Hi to anybody still following this. It's Aaron. This is the first time posting here, yes sad, and Im sorry to see I partially to blame for the demise of this page. I really believed in it, and now I have to say "mia culpa". My news is that I've been working like a beast updating my portfolio
and I'm now on deviantart. I put my initials AMH before the title of all of my works and my
user name is IAMHalstead. Putting AMH in the search will get you something like 600 entries,
not all mine, but it should narrow it down for you. Check it out and write something witty, and I
promise to keep more current on this blog. Can anyone else on deviantart let me know how I
can find their stuff? Miss you all, and Matt, seeing any video of you was like a godsend right now.
You can all reach me a aaronsme@yahoo.ca anytime.

Popping in

Teehee.
Hello all, Allison D. here. Not sure if anyone checks this much since we all seem to be pretty active on FB, but, hello! It's 11:28pm. I should actually be sleeping but um..! I wanted to post something because I feel so bad seeing this place so dead. xD
Well, I don't have any art to post, really. I just got back from the anime convention and sold my first manga so I'm working on my second.
I hope everyone's doing well. I miss everyone so much.... ;o;
Is anyone staying next year, btw...? I want to come visit. ;o; Definitely...!
That's all ;u; Byeee!

Shoes, shoes, and stop-motion

[MEG FISH]

Hey everyone! As you all know, shoes are my thing. Right now I'm working at over ten pairs to sell at an upcoming festival in my hometown (Fresh Ayr Festival! June 19), along with other art and some photography.
BUT! The shoes I have are adult sizes, and I'd like to try to focus more on children's shoes for this event, because the majority of Ayr is kids (there are less than 5000 people in the whole town.) If any of you know where I could get some fairly low-priced kids shoes [like the ones below] please let me know, I'd really appreciate it! :)

In other news, I'm also designing a couple of tattoos, which is pretty exciting, including a new one for myself! Yay!
Also, for your viewing pleasure, one of my favourite stop-motion videos, by one of my fave stop-motion filmmakers. I'd like to try out making some of my own this summer :)

Update? ive never been on a date before!

Haha so.. Allison Del Vecchio here. I was prodded at to post information on the release of my book here... so, for those who are interested, here it is (and how to preorder)! It's a magical girl manga (like Sailor Moon...) and I did it completely in copic markers. So if you're fancy to that... well, feel free to order it. ;u; <3>
It's called "PAINTERS" by the way.... and I even based some of the rooms on our main painting room and the room is even called "L209" ahaha.. that's what is was, right?
Anyway I created it from the inspiration I gained from just being in the course. And made it absolutely magical and gay. :D

(Copied this post from my Deviantart journal which is here: http://oceanchan.deviantart.com/ )

Thank you everyone for always supporting me, through my art and just being a friend. I love you all!! ;o;
